JPRI publishes various articles (and, on occasion, books) dealing with contemporary Asia and its recent history. These articles include "Working Papers," which are usually the work of prominent scholars or journalists; "Critiques," which are shorter, opinion pieces; and "Occasional Papers," which include more historical essays, memoirs, or other "think" pieces.

Anyone wishing to submit a manuscript for consideration by JPRI should contact Chiho Sawada.
