JPRI publishes various articles (and, on occasion, books) dealing with contemporary Asia and its recent history. These articles include "Working Papers," which are usually the work of prominent scholars or journalists; "Critiques," which are shorter, opinion pieces; and "Occasional Papers," which include more historical essays, memoirs, or other "think" pieces. JPRI does not copyright its publications, so some articles may be published later elsewhere.

Anyone wishing to submit an article for consideration by JPRI should contact Chalmers Johnson.
