JPRI History


The Japan Policy Research Institute (JPRI) is dedicated to policy-relevant research and public education on Japan and the entire Pacific Rim, with the aim of improving inter-societal understanding, regional reconciliation, and global justice.

As part of the University of San Francisco Center for the Pacific Rim, JPRI seeks to produce high-quality research and publications, as well as to sponsor conferences, public events, and service activities in order to foster dialogue and cooperation among scholars, government officials, journalists, business leaders, NGO activists, and the general public.

All donations to JPRI are fully tax deductible in the United States. Online giving is safe and convenient through the USF website. When you designate your gift on the first screen, please be sure to check "Other" and then to type "JPRI, Center for the Pacific Rim" in the space provided.
